Passion, heart and inspiration.
President and Artistic Director of Studio Open House
I completed my studies in Musical Theatre at Collège Lionel-Groulx in 2002, followed by my first professional experiences – in 2004, I participated in the French-language version of RENT, a Just for Laughs production. I then developed a passion for voice work at the microphone following several studio recording contracts. After doing daily radio commentary for Rouge and NRJ in Quebec City, I moved on to FM103.3, where I gained experience as a copywriter and hosted the drive home show Chéri j’arrive!, as well as the weekly music show Les soirées vinyle. In 2014, I launched my eponymous singer-songwriter album under the artist name Caro Bé – Closing the Book – which I also co-directed and produced.
That same year, I started my own company, Studio Open House, with my life partner, Dan Smith. I have since collaborated on numerous advertising and artistic projects, including lending my voice to the character of Celeste in the Trion Worlds video game Atlas Reactor, and Dawn in the meditation application Neo. Vocal director and director for both musical projects, narration and voice-over projects, I most recently co-directed the album Les duos de Gen, and am also planning to release my second singer-songwriter album in the fall of 2020.
